At Homestead on the Ridge, our commitment to natural rearing and a holistic approach is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that puppies thrive best when nurtured in a loving environment that prioritizes their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Our philosophy is rooted in the belief that dogs are not just pets but cherished family members who deserve the best possible start in life.

We haven’t always wanted to live off the land. It's hard to say when it began. Just as all thoughts; a little seed in our minds.
We found this land in 2022. A messy 2 acres, needing a lot of work. It was a beautiful and gentle way to ease into country living. With determination, we cleared the land to create pasture, planted trees and hedges, and started keeping chickens. We’re not quite sure where this journey will take us, but we do know we’d like to live a healthier lifestyle. One that ebbs and flows with the seasons, more in sync with nature, simpler, and better for our bodies and minds.
With time, we’d like to continue developing our minimalist lifestyle become more self-sustainable, reminding ourselves that happiness is not found in having more.
Living here has taught us patience and the beauty of embracing the imperfect journey, that in some ways is so perfect. It has taught us that nothing worth having comes easy, that everything takes time to grow.
In the shadow of Mount Cheam, we feel at home. We like to think our animals love the homestead as much as we do. As we continue this journey, we’re excited to welcome sheep to our land and develop our homestead further.

Living simply means giving from the heart, sharing with neighbors, and building connections that nourish the soul. It’s about embracing new experiences with courage and choosing to care for the land, our animals, and each other; deeply.
Living at a slower pace, savoring the quiet moments, and sharing the joy our animals bring with those around us. Our journey is one of patience, of learning to live mindfully, knowing that a simple, intentional life can be rich beyond measure.
